2026 Law Update

Recent Landlord/Tenant Law changes may make property management more challenging. This update will keep you on top of the most recent changes in rental housing law, assisting you as a housing provider and property manager to stay legal and, hopefully, keep you from losing in court. This seminar will cover the essentials of the Oregon Landlord/Tenant law, with the emphasis on what’s new.

**About Violet Wilson, ORHA President

Violet Wilson is the "V" in V & R Management. Violet is Oregon licensed and has worked as a property manager. Violet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from San Jose State University and a Masters of Science in Education from Western Oregon University. She was a high school teacher for over 36 years in California and Oregon schools. V & R Management, LLC has operated since 1990, specializing in single family home rentals but they have managed all types of properties.

Recently elected at the Oregon Rental Housing President, Violet is a past vice president of Oregon Rental Housing Association, former chair of the ORHA Education Committee, and serves on the ORHA Legislative Action Committee. Since 2008, she has taught property management classes for local and the state housing provider associations. In addition, she has volunteered to teach classes to help tenants become better residents.

Cancellations/Changes and Refunds: Registration fees are non-refundable for non-attendance, late arrivals, and early departures. Fees will be refunded if cancellation or change resulting in a refund is received in writing no later than 1 week before the webinar date. After that date, fees are non-refundable. Substitutions are allowed at no charge.

Join fellow members for an open discussion on rental ownership. This is a space to connect with other landlords, discuss rental concerns, and share experiences and ideas on all aspects of managing rental properties. Your feedback on classes and input on future education topics are also welcome.

Purchase of a beverage is encouraged, but the purchase of a beverage or a meal is not required.

It is a great informal time to come together with other property owners and managers and get your questions answered. This workshop is geared for EVERYONE, whether you are a new or well-seasoned landlord, there is something for you! Please come prepared with any questions that you might have!
